Before joining Res Publica Group, he spent three years at a strategic communications firm, working across the public, corporate, and nonprofit sectors. Along the way, he sharpened his skills in community relations and impact, media relations, and relationship building. His experience includes supporting a legislative portfolio for a United States Senator and advising political campaigns, including a 2024 congressional race. He also served on the national board of directors for the NAACP and lends his expertise as a member of the Barbados Olympic Association’s Marketing and Communications Commission. A native of Barbados and Saginaw, Michigan, DeJoiry holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Howard University. Outside the office, he’s a devoted concertgoer, an enthusiastic Chicago foodie, and always looking for his next great trip or a good matinee to catch.
