A South Alabama native, Emily draws on her unique background to deliver resonant ideas that drive meaningful results across media strategy, corporate communications and crisis management. She held a range of communications roles in the nonprofit and healthcare sectors before joining Res Publica, bringing a diverse portfolio of experiences and areas of expertise. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from Florida State University and a Master of Science in Journalism from Northwestern University’s Medill School. Emily is a Scenemakers Board member at the Goodman Theatre, Chicago’s oldest not-for-profit theatre, and a regular volunteer with Nourishing Hope, one of the largest and longest-operating hunger relief organizations in the city. She and her wife are avid long-distance runners and enjoy spoiling their dog to bits.
