When crises arise, effective communications are an immediate need and can often shape both the near-term response and the long-term impact. We work with clients, their leaders and their legal team to execute a thoughtful communications plan that is mindful of the wide reach their words and actions will have.
Approach
Tragedy strikes all too often in today’s world and when it does, you need a trusted partner to help see you through. Res Publica Group was just that partner at the 2017 Manchester Arena bombing, the 2021 Astroworld tragedy and the 2022 Highland Park Independence Day shooting. Â
In these terrible situations, we collaborated with those involved to communicate what we could throughout the course of the immediate incident.Â
Our Efforts
In real time, we advised their teams on messaging, ensuring accurate information was a priority. Contingency planning is critical and coordination with law enforcement and legal counsel ensure consistency and accuracy of information.
Results
Oftentimes, our clients themselves are present at the events, and we can provide a calming, third-party perspective. We help navigate media inquiries, prepare spokespersons, draft materials for employees or customers, and provide onsite support for the immediate and near-term crisis management needs.
